Water is the most important element for human life. It is crucial to drink enough water every day in order to stay healthy.

Water is a natural resource that humans need to consume on a regular basis. In addition to supplying the body with fluids, water also helps regulate body temperature and makes up ~ 60% of our blood. Drinking plenty of water on a daily basis can help you maintain your weight, reduce your risk of kidney stones, prevent dehydration, and protect against some diseases like diabetes and cancer.

Food as a Water Source

The average person needs to consume about ~2.5 liters of water a day. The water content in food ranges from 10% to 98%. Since you get an average of 20 percent of your water from the foods you eat, it's important to maintain a healthy diet. Foods that are dehydrated like fried or processed foods will have less water than whole fruits and veggies.
